These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Rankify Music (“we,” “us,” “the Service”). By accessing or using Rankify Music, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
Your License to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Rankify Music for your personal use.
Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Rankify Music and its licensors.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service or its underlying technology, except as explicitly permitted by us.
Eligibility & Account Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to use Rankify Music. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information and for all activity that occurs under your account.
User Content & Conduct
Your Content: You retain ownership of any content you create or submit to Rankify Music, including but not limited to rankings, charts, lists, and profile information (such as your display name and avatar). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and improving the Service.
Public Visibility: Rankify Music is currently a public platform. Your profile, rankings, and activity may be visible to other users and surfaced throughout the Service.
Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you create and share on Rankify Music. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access or interfere with systems or data that are not yours
- Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the Service
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Use automated systems (bots) to manipulate rankings or activity
- Upload or share content that violates intellectual property rights
Privacy Settings & Visibility
Rankify Music includes social features such as user profiles, following, and content discovery. Currently, user profiles, rankings, and activity are publicly visible to other users of the Service.
Public Content: Your profile information, rankings, and activity may be viewed by other users and surfaced throughout the platform, including through features such as the explore page.
Future Features: We may introduce additional privacy settings or controls in the future. Your use of such features will be subject to these Terms at that time.
No Guarantee of Privacy: You understand that content shared on the Service may be visible to others and that we cannot guarantee that other users will not copy, share, or distribute your content outside of the platform.
Content Moderation & Enforcement
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor content and activity on Rankify Music.
Content Removal: We may remove, restrict, or disable access to any content at our sole discretion, including content that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to the Service or its users.
Account Actions: We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in behavior that we determine to be abusive, harmful, or disruptive to the platform or community.
No Obligation to Notify: We are not required to provide notice or explanation before taking action against content or accounts.
Enforcement Discretion: We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation of these Terms and to take appropriate action at our sole discretion.
Communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive communications from Rankify Music, including service-related updates, security notifications, and important information about your account.
We will not send marketing communications without your consent where required by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rankify Music and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your use of the Service.
Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we determine that your use of the Service is harmful to the platform or its users.
You may delete your account at any time from your profile.
Limitation of Liability
Rankify Music is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or guarantees regarding the reliability, availability, or accuracy of the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rankify Music and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of use, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
We are not responsible for the conduct, content, or interactions of other users on the Service.
Our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, to use the Service.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Toronto.
Changes to These Terms
We may update the Terms from time to time. Significant changes: We’ll post notice in advance of any significant changes.
Service Changes
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
